Petr Yan already had the belt, the win, and a $100,000 bonus. Then the weekend gave him something else: a luxury car promise that took over MMA feeds.
Yan kept his bantamweight title with a unanimous decision over Merab Dvalishvili in their trilogy bout at UFC 333 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. The co-main event earned Fight of the Night, and both men picked up $100,000 bonuses. [1] That was the fight. The car was the afterparty.
The promise
An X account identifying itself as the owner of betting platform 1win posted that Yan would receive a Rolls-Royce Cullinan for the victory. "Today Petr Yan once again proved why he is one of the best fighters in the world," the account posted, adding that "for this victory, Petr will get a Rolls-Royce Cullinan from me. Well deserved." [1]
Yan replied with gratitude. "Thank you so much," he wrote. "One of the best gifts no doubt." [1]
Two things worth saying plainly. First, this is a promise, not a delivery — nothing so far shows a car handed over. Second, the account identifies itself as 1win's owner; that is how Sherdog reported it, and we are reporting the post, not vouching for the account.
The feed turned it into a graphic within hours
MMA accounts did not wait for paperwork. By late Saturday night, the same screenshot — Yan in fight gear, the promise text, a black Cullinan — was everywhere, each account putting its own frame around it.
CombaTalk's version led with the simplest caption of the weekend: "A Rolls-Royce Cullinan for the champion." [2] Others went bigger, with Yan holding a belt in front of a Cullinan and the words "ROLLS ROYCE FOR PETR YAN" across the graphic.
The MMA Uncensored version framed the same post as a headline: "A ROLLS-ROYCE CULLINAN FOR THE CHAMPION!" [3] Same promise, louder packaging. That is usually how you know a story has left the news cycle and entered the meme cycle.
Why it landed
Part of it is the car, obviously. Part of it is the timing. Yan's win closed one of the most demanding trilogies in recent UFC history — he kept the belt after splitting the first two fights with Dvalishvili, and he did it with a surge across the later rounds that fans kept clipping as his "flowstate" stretch. A luxury gift fits that story neatly: the champion, rewarded like a champion.
It also fits a pattern fans know well by now. Fight week already gave us the face-off memes and the press-conference clips. Post-fight weekend gave us something shinier to pass around. Nobody needed to argue about scorecards for this one. They just posted the car.
What happens next is the boring part
If a Cullinan actually shows up, someone will post it. Until then, this stays what it is: a public promise from a sponsor-adjacent account, a grateful reply from the champion, and a weekend of graphics.
For the fight itself — the rounds, the finish on the rest of the card, and the GOAT argument around the main event — our UFC 333 fallout roundup has the full picture, and the complete card is on the UFC 333 event page.
A belt is forever. A promised Rolls-Royce is, for now, a screenshot.
